Classroom Happenings

We have had a fantastic first four weeks and we have started most of our classroom programs now that we have tested the children to see where they are at.

If you came to our assembly last week you would have seen some of the things we have been doing and hopefully you enjoyed our drama performance based on the school triathlon.

If you didn't get to join us, why not pop in soon to see what your child has been doing. They may like to explain some of the wall displays to you or show you their books. You may even find a tidy tote tray!!

Kind regards
Linda

On Wednesday there was a tryathlon. Heaps of parents came to support and watch. All the teachers took heaps of photos. Some people were in teams and some people were individuals. The runners had to go twice and that was my job. I was nervous at the start but very proud of myself at the finish.

Fun Fitness

3...2...1 We were off. The swim was hard work, because we couldn't stop for 4 lengths. We ran hard to win. We had to find our bikes in the grass and pedal as fast as we could. Jordan had to bike with a puncture. Our legs were burning as we ran to the finish. We were pleased to sit down with our juicies.

Terrific Tryathlon Time

We competed in the individual class which meant you had to swim, bike and run. We had to swim 4 lengths of the school pool and it was cold and hard work. We had to run while we were wet and it was hard to put our shoes on. We could hear our parents cheering. We got on our bikes and it was hard because of all the bumps, holes and long grass. We then ran to the finish and got our juicy! It was cold but good.

Appleby Schools Awsome Tryathlon!!!

On Wednesday afternoon we had the coolest tryathlon ever known in Appleby School History!!!
The deafening roar of cheering rung in the ears of Appleby children. The teams went first and then the individuals and it kept on going like that from class to class. The 5 year olds went first and then the 6 year olds and then the 7 year olds and so on. Then it came to the year 5s- that is our class.Olivia and I both did the individual course. I came first and Olivia came second. We were really exhausted but were very proud of our efforts. It was great to see so many parents supporting us.
